Here we are—not even a month into the launch of Born New Apparel, and I'm already writing a blog post! Mom here, one half of the mother-and-daughter team behind Born New Apparel.

When my daughter and I first started brainstorming ideas, we asked ourselves, "Could we actually do this?" I suggested adding blog posts to the website. Cue the very normal response of a 13-year-old girl: "Oh... okay." Which basically translates to, "Sure, Mom." At that point, I thought maybe we should just stick to apparel and accessories and skip sharing our thoughts altogether.

And yet... here we are. Not even a month in, and I'm sharing my thoughts anyway.

Inspiration Behind Our Designs

This post was inspired by the Proverbs 31 design my daughter created. It's soft and beautiful, with bold pops of pink and red—strong, confident, and feminine all at once. Watching her design it made me want to revisit Proverbs 31 and really look at what it says.

As I read, I found a simple list of attributes of the "Wise Woman," and honestly... it felt very real. Not intimidating. Not perfect. Just real life.
